Recreational Hunting Property
A North Alabama property owner contacted Dawson Dirt & Timber to restore heavily overgrown fire lanes, access trails, and feeder areas throughout a recreational hunting property that had become difficult to maintain after years of unmanaged vegetation growth.
Dense brush exceeding 6 feet in height, combined with thick undergrowth and trees up to 10 inches in diameter, had significantly limited access across portions of the pine farm. Using a Takeuchi TL12 compact track loader paired with the BrushMonster Industrial Revolution Axe, our team efficiently reclaimed approximately 2.5 acres of overgrown terrain while preserving the natural layout and usability of the property.
In addition to reopening old fire lanes and trail systems, we restored the client’s feeder field by reducing heavy vegetation and brush to a manageable height. The completed work now allows the property owner to maintain the area using standard mowing and bush hog equipment rather than requiring repeated heavy clearing operations.
By reclaiming access routes and restoring maintainable land conditions, this project greatly improved the functionality, accessibility, and long-term usability of the client’s hunting property while bringing the land back to a clean, controlled state for recreation and ongoing management.

Open Field Restoration
A North Alabama property owner needed help reclaiming approximately 3 acres of heavily overgrown open field that had become increasingly difficult to manage after years of unchecked vegetation growth. Dense brush exceeding 6 feet in height, combined with widespread saplings measuring between 2 and 4 inches in diameter, had overtaken large portions of the property and significantly reduced the usability and appearance of the field.
Using a Takeuchi TL12 compact track loader paired with the BrushMonster Industrial Revolution Axe, Dawson Dirt & Timber efficiently cleared the thick overgrowth and aggressively mulched the saplings throughout the property. The equipment combination allowed our team to process dense vegetation quickly while restoring the field back to a manageable condition suitable for ongoing maintenance and future property use.
By reclaiming the overgrown acreage and eliminating the dense brush conditions, the completed project restored visibility, accessibility, and long-term maintainability across the field. What was once an unusable overgrown area was transformed back into functional open land that can now be maintained using standard mowing and field management equipment.

Residential Property Restoration
A North Alabama homeowner contacted Dawson Dirt & Timber to restore a heavily overgrown residential property that had become increasingly difficult and frustrating to maintain. Thick privet hedge growth had spread aggressively throughout the yard and surrounding trees, while large holes left behind from fallen trees and previous stump removals created unsafe and uneven mowing conditions across the property.
The customer described the yard as a “nightmare to mow,” with low hanging limbs, rough terrain, and hidden holes making routine maintenance both uncomfortable and difficult. Our team removed the invasive privet overgrowth throughout the property while carefully cleaning up the surrounding landscape to restore visibility, accessibility, and overall yard appearance.
In addition to clearing the heavy vegetation, we backfilled and leveled the large holes throughout the yard to create a smoother, safer mowing surface for the homeowner. The completed project dramatically improved the functionality and maintainability of the property, allowing the customer to comfortably use a standard riding mower again without dealing with obstructive brush, uneven terrain, or dangerous hidden drop-offs.
